Waiting
Karen was moved to a Hospice room yesterday. I sat with her father a little while last night. He grieved that he hadn't been able to spend more time with her. He is not in good health, his wife requires constant care, and his brother has just been admitted to the hospital. I assured him Karen would understand. A parent is not supposed to watch their child die. What can you say. It looks like the waiting will soon be over. Karen has not been able to eat in several days. She is sleeping all the time. Most of the time the pain is under control. Sometimes the fever spikes and they try to treat that. I pray the pain will soon be over.
